Book Cover Design Concepts
For this student graphic design project, the assignment was to create a set of book covers for three classic novels with an overall design.
I chose 'Moby Dick', 'Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea' and 'Old Man and the Sea' to set an oceanic theme. I wanted to focus on a minimal design piece that focused mainly on a single silhouette for each book, each being the animal associated with each story. This was an early attempt for me at understanding layouts and iconography designed for print.
